Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Speedy 40. This is the largest size of the Speedy bags. Purchased in 1998, carried once and then stored away. It is beautiful! We’ve never seen a Speedy 40 from 98′ in this condition. Every part of this bag, including the natural patina of the leather, is beautiful, and the interior looks like nothing was ever put in it. You will notice areas where the patina is lighter like in the center of the leather tabs that secure the handle. This is because the handles have been down and those areas weren’t exposed. Also notice the leather trim on the interior pocket. The patina here is also lighter as it hasn’t been exposed. There is very light ‘greening’ of the Louis Vuitton engraved studs which is the case with all older LV. We were able to easily wipe most of it off with a clean, dry cloth and although it doesn’t detract from the beauty of the bag, if desired, LV can remove it completely. The padlock shows oxidation but all of the brass hardware on the bag, including the zipper, are scratch-free and oxidation free. Measures 16″ x 10″ x 7.5″. Date Code: SD0938. Made in U.S.A.
